In 2023, we expanded our capabilities by acquiring VIP Air Empowerment, transforming it into a global R&D hub for HVAC/R axial fan solutions, complete with advanced wind tunnel testing facilities.Role Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated Senior R&D Engineer with strong electro-mechanical expertise, focused on the design and development of electric motors for industrial fan applications. This role is centred on electromagnetic aspects of motor design.As a Lead Engineer, you will spearhead the development of high-efficiency, high-performance electric motors tailored for axial fan systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance to deliver innovative, reliable motor solutions that meet market and customer demands.Key Responsibilities:Design & DevelopmentLead the electromagnetic design of electric motors from concept through production.Optimize motor performance using simulation tools, focusing on mechanical durability, thermal behavior, and electromagnetic efficiency.Ensure compliance with industry standards and product specifications.Technical LeadershipAct as subject matter expert in electric motor mechanics and electromagnetics.Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers.Testing & ValidationDefine and execute validation protocols for mechanical performance, noise, vibration, and durability.Analyse test results and feed insights back into the design process.CollaborationWork closely with fan and system designers to ensure motor integration is optimized.Support production and quality teams during pilot builds and serial production ramp-up.Documentation & CommunicationMaintain clear documentation of design iterations, test results, and technical decisions.Communicate complex engineering topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.Required Skills & Knowledge:EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.ExperienceProven experience in design and development of electric motors, particularly rotating machinery.Solid understanding of electromagnetic design, rotor/stator geometries, cooling techniques, and mechanical construction.Familiarity with motor manufacturing processes.Technical SkillsProficiency in CAD software and motor simulation tools (e.g., Motor-CAD, Maxwell, Ansys).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Knowledge of relevant testing standards and practices.Personal AttributesProactive, hands-on, and self-driven.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Team-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.Other RequirementsWillingness to travel occasionally for testing, reviews, and project coordination.English proficiency at B2-C1 level.Note: Experience in electronics or embedded software is not required for this role.Why Join Us?Hands-on Innovation: Drive the development of electro-mechanical solutions for high-efficiency fan systems.Career Growth: Strengthen your leadership and technical skills in a global, innovation-focused organization.Impact: Be a key contributor to shaping next-generation airflow technologies.Ready to shape the future of fan technology?Apply now by sending your CV in English to jusz@multi-wing.com and join a team that values precision, innovation, and real-world impact.
