Job Purpose: The Assistant Floor Manager assists the Floor Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the dining facilities at the exclusive member club. They help ensure the highest standards of service, hospitality, and guest satisfaction while maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow. Main Activities and Responsibilities: Assist the Floor Manager in supervising and managing the restaurant staff, including waitstaff, runners, and bartenders, ensuring proper training and performance. Support the Floor Manager in maintaining service standards, policies, and procedures to ensure a consistent and exceptional dining experience for members and guests. Assist in scheduling and staffing to meet operational needs, including handling employee rotations, breaks, and shift changes. Help oversee the setup and breakdown of dining areas, including coordinating table arrangements, linens, and table settings. Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Assist in inventory management, including tracking supplies, monitoring stock levels, and placing orders as needed. Assist in developing and implementing promotions, special events, and menu offerings to enhance the club's dining program and attract new members. Handle administrative tasks, record-keeping, and reporting, in coordination with the Floor Manager. Collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen, bar, and events team, to ensure seamless coordination of service and events. Support the Floor Manager in training and development initiatives for staff, including conducting training sessions and providing ongoing coaching and feedback. Manage other activities relating to or resulting from what is indicated in the previous points. Key Competencies: Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Previous experience (2-3 years) in a supervisory or managerial role in a fine dining restaurant, hotel, or private club setting. Knowledge of one or more foreign languages (min. fluent in Italian and English). General Knowledge and Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service standards, sanitation practices, and POS systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications. Familiarity with inventory management and scheduling software preferred. Personal and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, members, and guests. Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and diplomatically. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and service.
