We are seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to work on our sites in Italy.
The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, arc, laser, and butt welding with metals such as steel and aluminum for use on tubes, non-tubular bars, plates, and tanks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and coordinate welding specifications, codes, and standards
* Collaborate with field subcontractors for welding procedure specifications and procedures qualification reports
* Analyze the causes and effects of welding defects and implement corrective actions
* Regularly review radiographic film and NDT reports
* Audit approved Third Party NDT Inspection Companies
* Witness welder qualifications testing and procedures qualification testing
* Review inspection and testing methods and procedures for Radiographic, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Ultrasonic inspections
* Maintain the highest level of safety throughout project execution to prevent incidents and accidents
Requirements:
* Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent technical training (Certifications: AWS, CSWIP, HND, HNC, or NVQ) and related experience
* Extensive experience in welding works, with at least 5 years as a Welding Inspector
* 3-5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with onshore power plant experience being a plus
