Job Responsibilities: Incumbent works with children 6 weeks-6 years of age. Receives children from parents. Notes all special instructions that parents may provide. Notifies the supervisor or Center Director of any marks or other signs that might indicate a suspicion of illness, abuse or neglect. Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children. Creates a pleasant, inviting atmosphere for children. Ensures the safety and sanitation of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, proper maintenance of equipment. Completes and submits required reports in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinates by age the appropriate play and learning activities to foster individual and group activity development. Leads children in songs, games, fingerplays, and other activities. Interacts with children during programmed activities, using approved child guidance and caregiving techniques that support overall program objectives. Maintains continuous observation of children to detect early signs of distress or abnormal behavior. Attends to the physical needs of the children. Helps children to develop self-help skills. Rocks and holds babies and assists children during family style meals. Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities for program participants based on observed needs of individual children. Implements activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of children. Establishes a program environment that sustains participant interest and promotes positive interactions with other children and adults. Helps prepare, arrange, and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials to accommodate daily schedule. Assists children with special projects, homework, and life skills. Prepares and implements program options for children with special requirements. Reviews, provides input to, and implements schedules and activity plans. Demonstrates, instructs, leads, and facilitates planned and spontaneous program activities. Sets up displays and bulletin boards. Interacts professionally with staff members and parents. Participates in conferences with parents and staff. Briefs other employees and parents. Supervises children during daily schedule of indoor and outdoor activities, on field trips, outings, and special events. Promotes and models safety, fitness, health, and nutrition practices. Notifies supervisor on health, fire, and safety compliance concerns. Helps arrange for/serve appropriate snacks/meals where applicable. Ensures children depart with authorized person according to written parental instruction. Participates in program evaluation using designated instruments such as programmatic rating scales, risk assessment tools (as required), self-inspection materials, and national accreditation tools. Assists in achieving and maintaining DoD/Army certification and national accreditation or Army equivalent. Provides care/supervision, oversight, and accountability for program participants in compliance with DoD, Army, and local policies, guidance, and standards. Completes designated training requirements and tracks and records completed training on own Individual Development Plan. Inventories equipment on a recurring basis and recommends replenishing damaged, missing, and depleted supplies. Secures supplies, equipment, and facilities. Collects, maintains, and reports program participation data. Work Schedule: Tour of duty will be 35 hours per week as follows: Monday through Friday, from 0930 to 1730, including a 1-hour uncompensated lunch break, from 1300 to 1400. Minimum Qualification Requirements: Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications in accordance with "D.Lgs. n. 65/2017", "D.M. n. 378/2018" and "Nota MIUR 14176 - 8 agosto 2018": a) Laurea in Scienze dell'educazione (L-19) con indirizzo specifico per educatori dei servizi educativi per l'infanzia; b) Laurea della classe L-19 in relazione agli sbocchi professionali previsti al momento dell'immatricolazione, se conseguita prima dell'attivazione dei percorsi previsti dal D.M. n. 378/2018 da parte delle Università; c) Laurea quinquennale a ciclo unico in Scienze della formazione primaria unitamente a un corso di specializzazione di 60 crediti formativi universitari, se conseguita dopo l'attivazione dei percorsi previsti dal D.M. n. 378/2018 da parte delle Università; d) Laurea quinquennale a ciclo unico in Scienze della formazione primaria senza il corso di specializzazione, se conseguita prima dell'attivazione dei percorsi previsti dal D.M. n. 378/2018 da parte delle Università; e) Titoli di accesso alla professione di educatore dei servizi educativi per l'infanzia previsti dalla normativa regionale, se conseguiti prima dell'attivazione dei percorsi previsti dal D.M. n. 378/2018 da parte delle Università.
