POSITION OVERVIEW
To meet the development and new needs, we are looking for a Purchasing Manager Resort available to join us for the summer season 2025 with a team spirit, passion, and enthusiasm to offer high-quality service, with attention to detail and a focus on guest satisfaction.
WORKPLACE
The position is open for our structure Serenusa Resort in Licata (AG) in Sicily.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Manage procurement, the preservation of goods, and the coordination for the distribution of foodstuffs and consumer goods to departments
* Determine needs by checking stock levels
* Maintain contacts with suppliers, manage purchases, and draft orders
* Record invoices and update management software, entering delivery notes and documents related to received goods
* Verify goods upon receipt
* Ensure storage of goods in adequate quantities to cover consumption and regularly verify inventories
* Ensure order, cleanliness, and hygiene of warehouses and cold rooms
* Prepare statistics and monitor consumption in various departments
* Collaborate with the chef to monitor and analyze meal averages
* Strictly adhere to safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP)
* Ensure compliance with company standards
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING
* Previous experience (in hotels, villages, and resorts)
* Excellent product knowledge, particularly concerning foodstuffs
* Excellent negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills
* Knowledge of hotel departments and quality service standards
* Familiarity with purchasing management software
* Knowledge of SAP is preferred and proficiency in Office Suite
* Good relational skills, flexibility, and strong motivation
* Knowledge of HACCP and safety regulations
* Willingness to relocate for the summer season
* Knowledge of English or another language besides Italian is preferred
