Spacelab (A Joint Venture between AVIO (70%) and ASI (30%)) is looking for a junior system SW engineer. The candidate will contribute to the design of the Electrical Ground Support Equipment for the launch vehicle, by supporting A-GPM team (Electric Ground Systems).
The selected candidate will develop a highly specialized know-how by working with experts in the field and will also have significant opportunities for professional development and career evolution in a challenging area. The activity will be executed basing in Colleferro, with the possibility to travel on site for test execution or to support in presence the activities in the French Guyana Space Center.
The candidate has a good knowledge in Computer Science, applied in a complex System.
He/She will support the A-GPM Team in the following activities:
* Interfacing with internal/external customers, suppliers, and internal departments for all aspects about Electrical Ground Support Equipment / Launch Vehicle control bench.
* Assess the high-level requirements and contribute to release relevant documentation.
* Support in managing the whole SW lifecycle.
* Prepare System and SW Test Campaign data package (i.e. Procedures, Reports, Test Plan, execution logs, generated data, etc…).
* Participate to formal review with the stakeholders.
* Manage anomalies and participate to boards.
* System definition activities, related to the specific programs.
* Supervision the design, technical procurements follow on.
* Supervision of qualification and acceptance test campaign, including tests in external facilities.
* Review the supplier Data-package.
* Master’s degree of an Engineering School (Computer Science, Electronics, Aeronautical/Space Engineering, …).
* Experience of at least 1 year in system and software engineering activities.
* Proficiency in the English language (spoken and written). Conversational in France language is also preferred.
* Knowledge/Experience of at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C, C++, Python.
* Knowledge of LabView for NI devices.
* Knowledge of Software lifecycle, from requirements management to bug fixing.
* Knowledge of Software versioning (SVN/Git).
* Knowledge of Networking protocols (i.e. OSI Stack, Ethernet, TCP/IP, etc…).
* Knowledge of Data flow protocols (i.e. MIL-STD-1553, CCSDS, PUS).
* Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time and to work autonomously.
* Team Working attitude.
The following topics are considered a plus:
* Knowledge of ECSS.
* Knowledge of MATLAB.
* Knowledge of Linux.
* Knowledge Real-time operating systems.
* Experience in Data analysis (raw/eng data).
* Technical experience about understanding of the Avionic requirements.
* Technical experience on Avionic EGSE elements and development.
