Opportunity
The Global Pricing Lead is responsible for the development and execution of the global pricing strategy and associated activities to support optimal access and reimbursement for Menarini Group products, with a focus on delivering sustainable pricing strategies for key markets and regions.
The role holder will be supporting a growing organisation by providing support and helping shape global pricing strategies. The role will therefore require deep understanding and appreciation of the relevant access routes, HEOR, reimbursement mechanisms as well as scientific, technical, regulatory, intellectual property and commercial considerations to ensure maximum impact of well-designed pricing strategies and plans.
This strategic role will require the right candidate to work closely with senior management and across multiple levels of the Menarini Group, from local affiliates to HQ, interacting with multiple internal stakeholders, to deliver effective Pricing strategies. The ideal candidate is not only required to have a strong strategic mindset, but also excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of applying those skills inside the Menarini organisation and with external stakeholders. In addition to having the relevant technical skills of pricing analysis, having experience in creating and implementing global and regional pricing strategies is critical for communicating and implementing the strategies across the Menarini organisation. The role holder will shape the global pricing strategy and associated activities, high-level project plan and milestones with senior management and Access teams.
Responsibilities
Be responsible for generating and implementing Global and Regional Pricing Strategies across the entire Oncology and Primary care product portfolio, engaging directly with key players and coordinating launch activities, including:
* Developing pricing strategy and guidance for Oncology and Primary care portfolio products consistent with the Market Access/HEOR plans, functional strategies and the LCM vision.
* Lead pricing related research with external vendors to inform global strategies and local adaptations.
* Support HEOR economic modelling by providing pricing inputs into BI, CMA, CEA and CUAs.
* Lead the communication and roll-out of launch price strategies as well as the post-launch evolution of product pricing strategies.
* Regular input on strategic Market Access and HEOR discussions.
* Be a thought leader anticipating pricing-related industry trends, integrating market opportunities and driving innovative contracting.
* Closely work with the key US, EU and APAC Access Leads to translate the global pricing strategy to the local launch success and provide pricing business case support.
* Work across a range of emerging markets to understand their pricing mechanisms and dynamics (e.g. Europe, AMAP and LatAm).
* Strategic price leadership and operational price forecasting support in work streams across Oncology and Primary care.
* Support and drive the development of Menarini’s pricing, innovative contracting and negotiation capabilities.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in global or regional (EMEA/APAC) pricing and/or market access within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in Oncology and Primary Care, Antibiotics, or mature products.
* Strong understanding of the current global pricing environment and future trends in the European and US markets.
* Solid knowledge of the drug development process and global commercialization environment with a proven broad track record of successfully implementing global (launch) price strategies, with a focus in oncology.
* Proven track record of working in and coordinating projects in cross-functional teams (e.g. market access, regulatory or commercial function) for launch products.
* International reference pricing and launch sequence optimization analyses.
* Design and/or implementation of pricing analytics tools.
* Excellent analytical skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel is a must.
* In-depth knowledge and experience of generating a variety of pricing strategies and managing market research across multiple assets in different therapeutic areas.
* Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and an affiliate-oriented mindset.
* Ability to communicate and roll-out (launch) pricing guidance to Market Access teams, including affiliates, who will be making the local HTA submission and reimbursement negotiations.
* Hands-on, self-starter, strategic mindset, highly motivated to learn and contribute.
* Strong team player able to work in a multicultural, matrix type and fast-paced environment.
