CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join the Italian Tax group. The Tax group strives to stay at the forefront of global tax legislation and utilize tax technology to enhance efficiencies and automation. The Senior Tax Analyst will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager and play a vital role in the Company’s tax compliance, research and planning, execution, and documentation
For each Italian Legal Entity:
1. Supported by the Company’s Tax advisors, is responsible for the accurate preparation/filing of the Income Tax Return (Unico) and consolidated Tax Return (CNM),
2. Assist with the preparation, analysis, and review of the year-end income tax provision as it relates to Statutory taxes for assigned subsidiaries and various computations.
3. Assist with the preparation, analysis, and review of the year-end income tax provision as it relates to US taxes for assigned subsidiaries and various computations.
4. Assist with development and execution of moderately complex tax planning strategies and projects.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional groups within the Company and with external consultants as needed to solve tax related issues.
6. Maintaining a calendar of due dates for international tax compliance and reporting tasks.
7. Support the Italian Tax team to prepare/Review VAT/Indirect Tax filings.
8. Prepare/Review all Direct Tax filings and Withholding tax return.
9. Assist with Italian payroll tax compliance.
10. Assist with Italian tax audit inquiries.
11. Assist in general with Domestic Tax compliance as needed for all Italian Business.
12. Assist Audit and Internal Controls support, handling audit queries (internal and external), prepare of audit and reconciliation schedules, support STAT FS and Consolidated STAT FS for the Tax portion, deal with external auditors.
13. Supported by the Company’s Tax advisors is responsible for the accurate preparation/filing of the Transfer Pricing documentation.
14. Collaborating with cross-functional groups within the Company and with external consultants as needed to prepare all is it needed to get tax benefits (. R&D, Capex, Industria 4.0).
15. Support to Finance Transformation projects and implementation
16. Support Ad-hoc requests from Corporate
17. Support on various projects in the region
18. Support on various admin/accounting/Intercompany requests
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION:
19. Bachelor’s degree with Minimum of 4 years GL accounting and taxes
20. Certified accountant
21. Post graduate degree or
22. Masters degree
23. business and accounting education according to Italian accounting standards
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
24. Strong Excel skills
25. Italian native language
26. Must have strong command of English, written and spoken, can participate or lead meetings in English.
27. Previous experience working in an audit environment or a multinational organization with 2+ years of finance/accounting experience.
28. Advantage to have 2+ years of experience Oracle ERP accounting.
29. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
30. Can communicate financials and related issues in clear business language.
31. Ability to work constructively at all organizational levels, from plant operators to senior executives.
32. Drive and assertiveness to achieve work deadline and performance goals.
