Electrical Automation Project Engineer
(Ref. TN/EEL - 2025)
We are seeking an Electrical and Automation Project Engineer to join the Downstream Automation team, responsible for designing and supplying electrical and automation systems for reheating furnaces and strip processing lines, focusing on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with process and mechanical teams to develop electrical and automation engineering products for each project.
Key responsibilities include:
Analyzing customer contractual specifications and developing basic technical project requirements.
Preparing electrical and automation basic engineering documents, such as single line diagrams, control network layouts, and equipment lists.
Creating technical specifications for purchasing electrical and automation materials, software, and engineering services.
Reviewing engineering submissions from suppliers.
Coordinating internal and external resources during engineering and manufacturing, ensuring compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.
Collaborating with project management and purchasing departments to adhere to schedules and contractual conditions.
Supporting construction and commissioning phases onsite.
Required profile:
Degree in electrical engineering preferred.
Proficiency with common software tools (word processing, spreadsheets, CAD for mechanical and electrical drawings).
Basic knowledge of PLCs and automation network architectures.
Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to dynamic environments.
Organizational skills, results-oriented, and problem-solving abilities.
At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role; experience with reheating furnaces or strip processing industry is advantageous.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Willingness to travel.
Workplace: Genoa, Italy.
