This position reports to Digital Product Manager Your role and responsibilities You will join our Digital Offering Team and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries - Digital Division. The division integrates automation, electrification, instrumentation, and telecom to enable customers’ business transformation in a converging IT/OT environment. The priority is to help customers embrace digitalization securely with solutions that make data access, visualization, and understanding easier than before. The Candidate will be part of Digital Offering Team of Local Division and his/her main interfaces will be ABB Sales department, SCM Purchase department, Engineering department, and our Customers. ABB digital offer solutions cover several pillars, Sustainability (with Advanced Process Control & process optimization), Cyber Security solutions, Performance monitoring systems, Predictive diagnostics, and digital twin. ABB digital solutions are typically proposed as a completion and/or an extension of ABB Control system proposition. The work model for the role is: LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: Preparation of technical proposals and cost calculations for Digital solutions according to Customer requirements and needs, with the support of Subject Matter Experts Support SCM department analyzing supplier proposals Collecting information from Sales on installed base/site from ABB Technical Account Managers Analyze customer needs and competitor offerings through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization Perform lost proposal analysis, identify potential causes, and recommend future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results Qualifications for the role You are highly skilled in Process control systems and automation (PLC, DCS, ESD) in power generation, water, and oil & refining industries You have at least 2 years of experience as a proposal engineer or support sales engineer, in preparing Technical Specifications and Pricing calculations Possess enhanced knowledge of Cyber Security Standards (e.g., IEC 62443) and Electrical Standards required by our major customers You are passionate about analyzing data and identifying digital solutions useful to answer Customers’ needs, minimizing costs and maximizing revenues Knowledge of ABB digital Portfolio (Cyber Security; Asset Performance Management; Sustainability Solutions; Continuous Emission Monitoring Solutions; Electrical Digital Solutions like SAPP, UVRx, and SART) will be considered a plus You are at ease communicating in English and Italian.
