Posting Details Posting Number: 20254248S Position Title: Parking Garage Supervisor Position Type: Staff Location: Villanova, PA Recruitment Type: Internal/External Applicants Work Schedule: full-time/12-months Avg Hours Week: Department: 509-Parking and Transportation Position Summary The University Garage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the campus parking facilities, supervising the garage staff, ensuring the safe and efficient use of parking resources, and enforcing parking regulations to maintain campus accessibility and order. In addition, the garage supervisor is responsible for performing a variety of facility/garage supportive functions which include, but not limited; customer service, collection of receipts and cash, performing basic maintenance on garage equipment. Enforce parking policies and regulations across campus, ensuring compliance with university guidelines. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff and visitors. Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and schedule staff, including attendants and enforcement officers. Responsible for the daily collection of cash and credit card receipts from multiple pay stations and exit gates assuring accurate and prompt deposits to the Bursar’s office. Performs troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs to garage equipment to include clearing jams, repairing/replacing ticketing dispensing unit and resetting/adjusting the MGC Pro Micro Drive Barrier. Adjusts gate arms, programs barcode scanners, resets controller, consistent with training provided by the equipment vendor and instruction provided in T2 Equipment Maintenance Guide. Inspect all parking equipment/LPR vehicle to ensure that it is well maintained and operational at all times. Enforce parking policies and regulations across campus. Issue citations for violations, such as illegal parking, expired permits, installs immobilization devices on vehicles and has vehicles towed as needed with permission from the Parking Director or his/her designee. Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned. Report any known accidents, safety hazards, maintenance repair or any suspicious activities to supervisor or appropriate department. Minimum Qualifications Formal Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Experience At least 1-3 years of experience in parking operations, facilities management, or a related field. Work Skills Ability to speak and write clearly. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Specific Job Knowledge Ability to learn and use computer programs. Other Work Hours may include evenings, weekends, depending on university needs. This position requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications Formal Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours Tools, machinery and equipment used: University vehicles, T2 Parking Enforcement Equipment, including mobile and fixed License Plate Readers (LPR), vehicle boot (immobilizer), hand tools needed to replace/repair T2 garage equipment, Laptop computer. Environmental conditions: Able to work in all weather conditions for long periods of time. Physical requirements: Walk and stand for extended periods of time and ability to lift 50lbs.
