Duties and Responsibilities
1. Complete all training requirements including:
2. Zaxby's Shift Leader Development Plan
3. Food Safety Certification
4. Any additional training required by Zax LLC
5. Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards
6. Mentor, coach, and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to your General Manager
7. Prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner
8. Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
9. Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level.
10. Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift
11. Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zaxby's Franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures
12. Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
13. Enhance guest experiences by ensuring that team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations
14. Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure product is properly stocked, and complete daily inventory counts.
15. Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes and taking corrective action when necessary
16. Track food safety and quality throughout the shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders that meet company standards and guests' satisfaction
17. Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete
18. Collaborate with the management team to develop goals and report back to management on goal progress
19. Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed throughout daily operations
20. Follow company cash management policies
21. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines
22. Utilize management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records
23. Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description
24. Ensure the team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures
25. Immediately report all human resources and risk management concerns to your General Manager and District Manager
26. Escalate other concerns to your supervisor when appropriate
27. All other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly
Job Qualifications
1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Must have reliable transportation
3. Available to work a minimum of 5 days and 32 to 40 hours per week
4. Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
5. Successful completion of background check
6. Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others
7. Leadership experience preferred
Capability Requirements
1. Sit, stand, and walk continuously
2. Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of ladders
3. Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including lifting overhead
4. Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
5. Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing
6. Maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception to observe and respond to the environment
7. Work in an environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food allergens
8. Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment including, but not limited to, knives, fryers, and potentially hazardous equipment
