About the role
The role will work closely also with the Associate Manager, Regional Transportation HQ Europe as a support for the day-to-day management of transport operations.
The role works cross-functionally with the different supply chain teams (Logistics Operations, Supply Planning, Customer Fulfillment, Manufacturing, Direct & Indirect Procurement, Global Trade Compliance) and works in synergy with external 4PLs.
About the Team/Department
This position, reporting to the Manager EMEA Logistics Capabilities, will act as a support for the regional team to drive end to end cost & performance improvements as well as routines settings & preparation (Regional Logistics KPI Review, EMEA communication meetings, Projects,…).
Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations Intern will support the and team and learn how to manage the following processes:
1. Perform ad hoc data analysis to identify actionable insights to improve service and cost
2. Routine settings and preparation (comprehending ppt decks)
3. Support Project Managers for strategic projects
4. Make sure every approved New Product Development captures the right logistics opportunities -as per functional guidelines
5. Solve day to day operational issues impacting the ability to distribute effectively
6. Contribute to primary freight monthly analysis to support SF/ODE meetings
7. Support cross functional activities to secure transportation capacity during peak periods
8. Daily support on keeping the delivery date always updated in SAP
9. Support the data collection and root cause analysis for Weekly and Monthly Operational Reviews
10. Support the continuous improvement plans to improve service KPIs
11. Support the primary freight monthly analysis
Experience you’ll bring:
12. Bachelor University degree in Logistics, Economics or Industrial Management Engineering, Engineering Management
13. No experience / short experience in logistics or supply chain (6 months)
14. Microsoft office applications & SAP experience
