ROLE
As Accounting Assistant, the candidate will support the Accounting Department in basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks. The role will include activities such as reconciling bank records, drafting financial documents, invoicing customers, collecting payments, calculating actual product costs, and comparing them with budget costs, performing variance analysis. In addition, the candidate can expect to assist the Accounting Manager with data entry, processing, recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. To be a successful Accounting Assistant, the candidate needs to have an understanding of basic accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel.
Responsibilities
1. Providing support to the Accounting Department
2. Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail
3. Handling communications with clients and vendors via phone, email, and in-person
4. Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers and budgets
5. Registering production orders in the ERP system and calculating production costs
6. Preparing financial reports
