This role sits within the HQ Global Indirect Procurement Team.
The individual will be responsible for managing procurement activities within Italy, Europe while supporting other areas within the global scope as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the development of procurement practices for respective indirect procurement categories,
* Developing and executing strategic procurement activities for responsible areas in alignment with senior management and relevant business partners,
* Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver and support all areas of supplier life cycle management,
* Implementing local and global procurement strategies, developing own strategies, and value creation opportunities,
* Contributing to delivery of annual procurement savings targets and other objectives such as increasing payment terms, supply base rationalization, etc.,
* Managing commercial and business relationships with suppliers according to policies, best practices, and risk management principles,
* Ensuring compliance with company policies, strategies, and processes, effective stakeholder management to maximize total cost of ownership savings and procurement's value contribution,
* Realizing supplier relationship management and contract management activities, involvement in full supplier life cycle activities,
Main Requirements:
* Advanced knowledge in strategic sourcing and procurement methodologies, concepts, business partnering, and category management (7 steps strategic sourcing, TCO, fact-based negotiations, life cycle of products/services, etc.),
* Strong track record of delivering sustainable savings that hit the bottom line,
* Experience across a range of indirect spend categories, strong knowledge and experience of Marketing, Facilities, HR, IT, Professional services,
* Experience with procurement tools and data, content, and automation (e-sourcing, P2P - Ariba-, e-catalogues, buying channels, etc.),
* Proven expertise in streamlining and improving procurement processes and systems,
* Strong understanding of financial planning, budget management, savings methodologies, and savings impact,
* Demonstrable ability to analyze complex data, specifications, and drivers of demand,
* Familiarity with broad range of procurement value levers to deliver savings and business efficiencies,
* Strong communication and stakeholder management experience at a senior level, credible and articulate influencer who can positively manage change in a complex environment,
* Action-oriented and solution-minded team player with high degree of self-management,
* Proficiency in MS Office and preferably SAP MM/SRM & Ariba,
* Fluent in English, spoken and written,
* Travel of up to 25%.
Requisite Education and Experience:
* A degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis on business, economics, finance, procurement, or legal, or comparable professional education,
* Minimum 3-5 years experience in a procurement role, minimum 1-2 years experience in a managerial procurement position with proven track record of strategic sourcing, project management, and delivering value to a business's bottom line,
* Demonstrable understanding of procurement best practice methodologies, including TCO, SRM, and contract management/life cycle management,
* Knowledge of category management practices and methodologies, end-to-end experience in a number of indirect procurement categories,
* Fluent English is essential, additional language skills are advantageous.
