What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
1. Development of packaging processes for new pharma product ensuring compliance with technical requirements (e.g., layout, product characteristics, technical packaging requirements, etc.) and compliance with production process requirements. Managing the optimization of existing processes with a continuous improvement mindset and developing workflow for new products;
2. Act as the technical representative of the department within internal project team and with the customers as well;
3. Take part in technology transfer project and execute related activities, including documents review;
4. Design and manage technical drawing process in collaboration with engineering and conduct industrial trials to test the efficiency and effectiveness of new packaging materials and relevant processes;
5. Oversee the integration of new products on the packaging lines, including feasibility trials, qualification and validation batches;
6. Provide training and support to production staff on new line product integration, including troubleshooting to grant line performance;
7. Continuous optimization of the packaging process in order to improve cost efficiency, maximize productivity, achieve the company's sustainability objectives and identify new opportunities for further improvement.
What you will bring to the table
To make the most of this role and truly thrive, you should have:
1. MSc or Engineering Degree in Scientific area;
2. Strong combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of industrial processes;
3. Experience in similar role preferably in pharma industry or cosmetics;
4. Technical knowledge of primary and secondary packaging systems, preferably from the pharmaceutical or cosmetics manufacturing world;
5. Knowledge of packaging material categories and characteristics (triplex, vials, cartons, leaflet);
6. Knowledge of technical characteristics of artworks like print proof stage, colours management, pdf layers, laetus code, pharmacode and so on;
7. Good Manufacturing Practice knowledge;
8. Good IT skills and Serialization/aggregation system knowledge;
9. Problem solving proficiency, ability to interact with different departments at site and global level and with external customers, interpersonal understanding & communication, Culture of Excellence.
