The role will predominately focus on projects within the Life Sciences sector (Pharma/Biopharma).The role will include all aspects of Quantity Surveying both pre and post contract across a variety of sectors. The successful candidate will be equally capable of working independently or as part of a larger team and will report directly to the managing surveyor.Day To Day ResponsibilitiesPre-Contract responsibilities would include:Preparing capital cost estimatesAssisting in tendering procedures and contract arrangementsPrepare pricing documents for tender packagesDuring the tendering phase responsibilities would include:Providing advice on tendering proceduresDraft instructions to tenderersDevelopment of tender evaluation criteriaDrafting of PQQ questionnairesHandling queries during tender periodCommercial evaluation of all tender submissionsNegotiation with tendersPost Contract duties would include:Reporting to the Commercial Manager and responsible for commercial aspects on the projectPreparation of Interim ValuationsPreparation of monthly Cost ReportingClient and Contractor meetingsNegotiation and agreement of VariationsReview and assessment of Contract ClaimsAgreement of Final AccountsWe value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery.
