Sodexo MAGIC Universities Segment has an exciting opening for a Registered Dietitian 2 at Southern University in Lafayette, LA in addition to Baton Rouge and Shreveport, LA. The Campus Registered Dietitian is responsible for nutrition education and promotion of nutritional programs through events, presentations, social media, and other outreach efforts with respect for the varying needs of the diverse population we serve. Occasional evenings and weekends are required based upon event demands and during critical times of the year. What You'll Do Provide nutrition care to students at campus and attend promotional events as assigned; Consistently meet DOH/state/federal and company standards; Collaborate with operations teams to develop wellness programs and menus for resident dining, athletics, and retail locations; Partner closely with Executive Chefs in selecting healthy menu items, evaluating sales and determining what can be offered differently; Maintain an active and engaging social media presence; What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire. Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire. Minimum Functional Experience: 2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics registered dietitian.
