Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory returns, including quarterly VAT returns.
2. Review and process purchase invoices for approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
3. Handle and respond to sales-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
4. Conduct daily bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash balances.
5. Reconcile fixed assets and calculate monthly depreciation entries.
6. Reconcile cryptocurrency transactions and ensure proper accounting treatment.
7. Support the finance team in the quarterly review and calculation of sales commissions.
8. Liaise with external auditors and prepare required documentation in advance of and during statutory audits.
9. Support the monthly payroll process, ensuring accurate input, compliance with local regulations, and timely submission.
10. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
11. Work closely with the wider finance team, including supporting bookkeeping clerks with daily accounting tasks as needed.
Requirements
1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
3. Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and VAT regulations.
4. Hands-on experience with reconciliations, payroll processing, and month-end closings.
5. Excellent Excel skills; experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Shireburn).
6. Familiarity with crypto accounting is a plus.
7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
8. Ability to work independently and within a team across multiple jurisdictions.
