As a Commissioning Package Manager, you will be part of our quality & commissioning team. With your technical knowledge & project management expertise, you will ensure projects are planned & managed in a coordinated manner through all levels of commissioning. You will have prior experience managing high-performing teams to achieve excellent predictable results for our customers.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end commissioning processes on projects within your technical area of expertise & assigned systems & packages.
* Serve as the project subject matter expert (SME) for Electrical systems testing and commissioning.
* Define the quality and commissioning scope and provide clear direction to all stakeholders to execute the tasks to completion.
* Measure and manage the execution of testing for your package from Commissioning Level 1 through to Commissioning Level 5, adhering to stringent technical requirements.
* Report and manage completion risk for your package early, giving complete transparency and time to react.
* Support and manage safety requirements during Commissioning such as Permit to Work (PTW), Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) systems.
* Interpret all design documentation and specifications to ensure the facility is tested and operates within the parameters outlined by the customer and design team.
* Write and approve testing documentation such as scripts, RFIs, technical submittals, etc.
* Direct and manage the commissioning and integration of your equipment and systems.
* Set measurable acceptance criteria for your package, ensuring the facility is tested and that testing is clearly recorded in line with these criteria.
* Drive paperwork and deliverable completion for your package such as scripts, RFIs, etc.
* Manage the closure of punch lists associated with your package.
* Ensure project setup and execution frameworks are aligned with internal best practices.
* Plan and schedule testing with all stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to adapt while meeting deadlines.
* Communicate expectations, roles & responsibilities associated with commissioning, holding everyone accountable for their commitments to ensure effective contribution to project success.
* Manage the Factory Witness Testing (FWT) strategy & carry over work risk management.
* Provide a comprehensive commissioning & completion strategy for each asset (L0-L6) from planning to handover.
* Visualize, explain & manage the construction completions & pre-commissioning strategies to all stakeholders, influencing buy-in to ensure timely turnover to the start-up & commissioning teams.
* Attend various meetings and give clear updates on package progress.
* Provide reports and metrics as required.
* Interpret data to ensure the commissioning process is continually progressing towards completion.
Technical Skills:
* Candidate must possess hands-on experience & knowledge of following systems completion & commissioning techniques:
* Thorough understanding of Electrical Engineering principles.
* Power supply systems/subsystems – (HV / MV / LV experience).
* Ability to read & interpret all technical documents such as technical submittals, drawings (P&IDs, SLDs, etc.).
* Knowledge of commissioning Substation infrastructure.
* Lighting & Small Power Testing requirements.
* Electrical testing compliance to local codes and standards.
* Security systems commissioning.
* Cabling & Containment systems completion management.
* Equipment & System electrical switching management experience, LOTO and PTW knowledge.
* In-depth equipment start-Up knowledge with pre-requisites.
* QA/QC knowledge with in-progress inspection system understanding.
* Walkdown management/attendance of in-progress inspections.
* Punch listing issues and managing same to closure.
* Transformers from 1MVA to >100MVA.
* Generators – 1MVA and above.
* Switchgear (PDUs, UPS wraparound, Distribution gear with source change functionality).
* UPS/ STS modules.
* Control/Monitoring systems/ EPMS/ EMS systems/ SCADA/ PLC.
* Earthing Systems.
* Instrumentation.
* Network & communication system knowledge such as BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet etc.
* EPMS and graphic systems.
* System integration management.
* Sequence of operation interpretation and execution.
* Detailed knowledge in documentation management.
* Ability to use test equipment.
* Power Quality Testing/Analysis – ITIC/CBEMA, IEC, etc.
* Loop check/ point to point testing management (4-20mA, 0-10V).
* Load Bank Planning and thermography management.
* Bachelor’s degree or extensive trade background in engineering (5+ years’ post qualification experience).
* Must have thorough knowledge in base discipline with excellent working knowledge of other disciplines required to deliver technically advanced data centre MEP systems.
* 5+ Years of experience in “hands-on” commissioning and commissioning management with thorough knowledge of commissioning technically advanced electrical systems and interfaces, ideally gained with CxA, vendor, GC, etc.
