Job Description
As a Warehouse Operations Manager in our OpsTech Solutions Supply Chain organization (OTS SC), you will play a critical role in supporting our Rapid Asset Deployment (RAD) Area. The OTS SC organization manages and is responsible for a wide variety of hardware testing and deployment, new device launches, and project initiatives that cross business teams and operations groups within Amazon Fulfillment IT.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing in the warehouse environment.
* Analyze and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity levels.
* Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and increase quality of service for customers within your area of responsibility.
* Monitor shift performance against relevant business objectives and put in place actions to improve operational excellence.
* Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize EU-wide practices.
A Day in the Life
Besides others, your core responsibilities will include:
* Steering all warehouse flow activities, including receiving, stowing, picking, packing, provisioning, and RMA processing.
* Managing dock flow activities, such as inbound and outbound operations.
* Allocating daily and weekly RAD Support Associate resources to meet demand.
* Coordinating incoming and outgoing trucks with the dock team.
* Monitoring weekly and daily forecast vs. capacity for all standard RAD operative tasks.
* Troubleshooting and supporting RAD Support AAs in their daily activities.
* Ensuring correct processing of requests in the Digital SC Solution (DSCS - ERP-System).
* Maintaining inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical storage maintenance.
* Monitoring threshold levels using DSCS and inventory dashboards.
* Balancing inventory between 3PL and RAD.
* Enforcing safety guidelines and executing H&S audits.
* Ensuring a clean and safe work environment for the team.
* Collaborating in a diverse team with rapidly changing priorities in an ambiguous environment.
This role requires standing and/or walking during a minimum 8-hour shift, lifting up to 35 pounds, and frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching. You must also be able to work in an environment subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions.
