Primary Function
The Molecular Account Executive is responsible for managing and expanding molecular activities for assigned customers in the defined country territory. The role includes acting as an advisor/consultant to customers. The Account Manager is responsible for retention and value expansion with assigned Abbott existing accounts as well as new potential accounts.
Major Responsibilities
* New business acquisition
* Renewals of expiring contracts or new tenders issued by existing customers, including price negotiations to ensure customers have the right prices
* Establish value propositions and build business cases
* Post-sale involvement with customers
* Develop broad relationships with key molecular lab stakeholders, including decision-making units, clinicians, and purchasing departments
* Serve customer requests and forward them to the respective service department for technical and applicational questions
* Become an advisor/consultant to customers on lab productivity, use, and/or design
* Actively work in the CRM system, keeping customer data up to date and reporting activities and market data
* Be the single point of contact that responds to customers promptly
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent
Background
* Experience in IVD laboratory diagnostics business
* Sales experience is preferable but not mandatory if there is strong experience in the molecular diagnostic field
* Mandatory experience in the molecular laboratory field
* Strong experience in maintaining and developing customer relationships
* Native proficiency in the local language; English and other languages are advantageous
