TXT Group is looking for an Aeronautical Data Engineer to join the Flight Management System Navigation Database team within our Aerospace & Aviation Business Unit.
The selected candidate will be involved in a project for our client Leonardo Helicopters, based in Cascina Costa di Samarate (VA). The role offers a hybrid work model (3–4 days remote, 1–2 days on-site), unless otherwise required by the client.
Main responsibilities
The candidate will be involved in:
Analysis and management of aeronautical data for Instrument Flight (IFR);
Production of Navigation Databases used by the Flight Management System on the client's fleet;
Maintenance and requirement/test definition of the used toolchain;
Management and improvement of aeronautical data production process (compliant to DO-200 standard);
Definition of experimental data supporting flight tests for avionic phases certification;
Definition of custom flight data supporting helicopter users operations.

Preferred qualifications and skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM disciplines– recent graduates are welcome
Interest in data analytics and data science
Competence on relational databases (SQL);
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite;
Knowledge of versioning software Git, and Python and VBA languages represent added value;
Good knowledge of English language.
More specific technical skills will be improved when carrying out project activities.
