JOB SUMMARY The primary responsibility is to construct/maintain the healthcare provider’s master schedules (Qgenda & Epic). The position is required to have a multitude of skills; including analyzing data in order to assist with critical decision making and exemplary communication skills. This role is the central point of communication for the utilization of all providers (greater than 40) within the Temple Cardiology Departments multiple service line (Cardiology Clinic, Heart Failure, Valve Clinic, Satellite Clinics, Cardiovascular Lab, Cath Lab, ICU Service, Consult Service and ADVH Service). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE Works with providers, departmental administration, making conclusions to maximize provider utilization, and other management staff to create and/or revise master template schedules (in Qgenda and Epic) of all providers, resources, in accordance with established policies and procedures and ensures schedules receive the required approval. Build and maintain the Qgenda scheduling software and Epic application. Provide support to Temple Cardiology inpatient and outpatient services in the Central Texas Region. Works autonomously in meeting monthly deadlines during the building of the templates to assure timely completion so patient access for appointments is not delayed. Assist in the development and ongoing scheduling help of approved procedures and/or clinical support ideas. Communicates with scheduling staff and management teams in a clear and professional manner any information regarding template changes, timelines for construction of new month’s schedules, review of new schedules and release of schedules. Works autonomously in meeting monthly deadlines during the building of the templates to assure timely completion so patient access for appointments is not delayed. Serves as a liaison between senior staff, managers and off site clinic support staff. Prepare clinical services reports to support division priorities. Provide support and training to end users of the Qgenda and Epic application as it relates to physician time off, Epic and clinical impacts.
