In order to strengthen our Planning Team, we are looking for a Powders Planning Manager.
The Powders Planning Manager is responsible for planning and scheduling production for our brand-new Powder District, ensuring that lead times are met and production resources are optimized.
The role involves the operational and strategic coordination of planning, with an initial focus on day-to-day operations and then developing an efficient and scalable structure over time.
He/she will be the point of contact for priority management, collaborating with business functions to ensure seamless production flow and the achievement of customer service goals.
Main Tasks:
- Supervise and coordinate the powders planning and scheduling team (4 people), supporting its growth and organization.
- Ensure proper planning and scheduling of internal and external production in line with company goals and challenging lead times.
- Monitor and optimize the planning flow of materials and production resources.
- Manage priorities, critical issues and contingencies to ensure production continuity.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Customer Service, Production, Industrialization, Logistics and Sales.
- Analyze data and KPIs to improve efficiency and propose strategic solutions.
- Support the implementation of advanced planning tools (ERP, MRP, APS) to ensure effective production management.
Benchmark KPIs:
- OTIF (On Time In Full): customer service level.
- Production plan vs actual output: reliability of production plan execution.
- Lead time management: respect of scheduled production time.
- Resource allocation efficiency: balancing workloads.
- At least 5 years' experience in production planning/scheduling roles in manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP, MRP and APS systems.
- Ability to analyze data and make decisions based on KPIs.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of English language is a plus.
- Effective management of priorities in a challenging environment.
- Advanced problem solving to resolve unforeseen production issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse teams.
- Proactive and structured approach to improve processes over time.
