We're seeking a Global Category Manager for Glasses, Metal Parts, and Filters to shape our global procurement strategy and drive innovation by optimizing our product portfolio.
Partnering with Product Marketing, R&D, and Operations, you'll analyze supplier footprints, uncover new opportunities, and create value while streamlining the supplier base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop medium and long-term sourcing strategies in collaboration with CMO, R&D, and Operation Teams to ensure best total cost of ownership (TCO) and supply security.
* Align strategies and tactics with key stakeholders.
* Communicate strategies to the organization to support implementation.
* Manage contracts and RFQs.
* Establish cooperation between specifier teams (Marketing, Innovation, and Operations) and purchasing involving Quality and Supply Chain Management.
Supplier Relationship and Portfolio Management:
* Lead group-level negotiations to achieve lowest global costs and highest value for Franke.
* Manage relationships with strategic suppliers.
* Actively manage the supplier portfolio to benefit from a group approach.
* Guarantee supply availability.
Project Management:
* Analyze the supply market to identify new opportunities.
* Align with business functions to achieve strategic company targets.
* Secure information sharing and support for local organizations and business units.
* Develop and participate in cross-functional teams.
* Implement framework agreements on projects as directed.
Continuous Improvement:
* Implement and ensure the use of relevant strategic sourcing processes across the group.
* Identify and implement cost savings opportunities.
* Communicate and involve stakeholders to drive the overall strategy.
* SUPPORT AND ACTIVELY PROMOTE THE PROCUREMENT FUNCTION.
* Engage in open and direct dialogue with stakeholders.
* Improve supplier service levels, payment terms, and logistics.
Leadership:
* Link with local and central Marketing and quality teams.
* Connect with the supply chain to ensure proper coordination around projects.
* Implement procurement strategy and policies.
Requirements:
* 5-10 years of experience in Purchasing.
* Worked in a Matrix environment.
* Experience managing internal and external customers.
* Ability to travel internationally (30-50%).
* Post-graduate education.
* Commercial or technical education.
* Fluent in English.
* ERP background (SAP preferred but not mandatory).
