As an Accounting Specialist, you will be a key member of the accounting team supporting the Italian entities of the LivaNova Group.
Reporting directly to the Senior Finance & Accounting Manager, you will ensure accurate and compliant financial recording across various accounting functions.
You will also be responsible for performing balance sheet reconciliations, income statement analysis, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance efficiency.
This role requires a proactive, autonomous approach to managing critical tasks and deadlines while fostering strong communication with suppliers, staff, and colleagues. Keeping the Senior Manager updated on important developments will be essential for success.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage core accounting processes with confidence the main accounting bookkeeping (transit accounts management, accruals and prepayments, inventory postings, fx revaluations, payroll postings, general ledger entries, VAT liquidation, etc.).
* Ensure the accuracy and compliance of monthly closing activities, such as account and intercompany transaction reconciliations.
* Participate in monthly financial reporting to the head office.
* Handle administrative tasks such as setting up withholding payments, completing Istat questionnaires, filing declarations, and reconciling company card payments.
* Oversee tax compliance tasks, including preparing VAT liquidation and reporting, monthly Intrastat reporting, annual 770/CU ("certificazioni uniche") declarations, and "Dichiarazioni d'Intento" submissions.
* Collaborate with the tax department in drafting corporate income tax declarations.
The Individual
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
* Prior experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within an accounting firm.
* Strong proficiency in English (mandatory).
* Excellent skills in Microsoft Office suite; SAP experience is a plus.
* A team player with strong self-motivation, reliability, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
* Basic knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards is advantageous.
