Purpose of Position: We are seeking an application technologist to support the Research and Development laboratory activity through the practical implementation of the recipes as explained in the technical data sheet, evaluating the actual correspondence of the product (semi-finished) to the required characteristics, as well as making any changes to achieve the desired result. The Applications Technologist has a crucial role in overseeing and guaranteeing the excellence that distinguishes IRCA products. Description of Main Activities/Responsibilities: Practical tests of creation and/or modification of the recipes as per the technical sheet. Evaluation of finished products, semi-finished products and raw materials in the context of quality control and product development activities. Approve the production of batches of product (semi-finished) on an industrial scale. Support in the event of complaints to evaluate the actual criticality of the product/semi-finished product/raw material and help make any changes. Carry out practical tests to test the characteristics of new raw materials to be used in the production of semi-finished and/or finished products. Requisitions: Education: Course of study related to the food business is preferable. Professional skills: Knowledge and mastery of basic and advanced gelato making techniques; knowledge of the gelato sector; ability to use laboratory utensils; sufficient confidence with IT tools (office package). Experience: 4 years of effective activity in the gelato business. Language skills: Fluent written and spoken English is preferable. IT Skills: MS Office. Soft skills: Propensity for teamwork, listening and observation. Decision making skills.
