Context:
The Global Antitrust Compliance Counsel will be based at the Menarini Group headquarters in Florence and will be part of the Global Legal and General Affairs Department within the Business, Antitrust, and Administrative Law area.
The role will report directly to the Global Antitrust Compliance Manager.
This is a unique opportunity to join an international legal team, providing legal and compliance support in a fast-growing global environment.
The role will be instrumental in developing and expanding the Group's global antitrust compliance efforts, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring adherence to antitrust regulations across jurisdictions.
Main Responsibilities:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating antitrust-related aspects in various agreements, primarily supporting business development, R&D, and manufacturing operations, with a particular focus on oncology.
Conducting due diligence for M&A and licensing projects to ensure compliance with antitrust regulations.
Developing and maintaining the Group's antitrust compliance framework, including compliance programs, risk assessments, guidelines, and policies.
Providing legal support to internal departments globally to ensure antitrust compliance in dealings with partners and third parties.
Monitoring and reporting on antitrust regulatory developments, including laws, enforcement actions, and market trends.
Conducting legal research and analysis on competition law matters.
Supporting administrative litigation management and coordinating with external counsel where necessary.
Delivering regular training on antitrust law and compliance, while updating existing training tools for risk-exposed functions.
Job Requirements:
Master's Degree in Law.
2 to 5 years of post-qualification experience, with a proven track record in antitrust law.
Experience as in-house counsel in multinational companies and/or a life sciences legal background is a plus.
Proficient knowledge of English (Italian and other languages are a plus).
Proactive, business-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at different levels.
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with deep legal acumen in competition law.
