Job Description:
We are looking for a Functional Safety Engineer to expand our functional safety team. As a Functional Safety Engineer, you will support the design, analysis, and safety assessment of software in both the automotive and digital energy domains.
Position Responsibilities:
* Enhance state-of-the-art functional safety solutions for real-time embedded software through independent thinking and analysis.
* Contribute to software architecture safety concept definition and validation of real-time software and toolchain architectures.
* Perform safety analysis on real-time embedded software.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508, delivering key work products.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with universities and research institutions.
* Develop safety plans and cases, oversee safety process implementation, and ensure compliance with safety activities as a Functional Safety Manager.
Requirements:
* M.Sc in Engineering/Computer Science (PhD preferred).
* Multi-year experience in safety-related project management.
* Knowledge of ISO 26262 (recommended: parts 6, 8, 9, 11).
* Experience with safety concepts and safety analysis on safety-related ECU architectures and embedded software design.
* Understanding of microcontroller/processor internal structures.
* Experience in embedded software development (e.g., C, Assembly).
* Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
* Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and willing to travel in Europe and China.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Hands-on experience in safety analysis (HARA, FMEA, FMEDA, FTA).
* Experience with model-based tool development (e.g., Eclipse Modeling Framework, Java, Acceleo).
* Knowledge of the IEC 61508 standard.
* Familiarity with VHDL.
* Practical experience with AUTOSAR systems and A-SPICE application.
* Knowledge of POSIX-based RTOS.
* Experience in safety-related automotive applications development.
