This is a full-time, regular role. The shift is a 12-hour rotation (days/nights).
The Process Attendant performs housekeeping duties, routinely inspecting and lubricating machinery, collecting measurements and samples, and assisting in operations as needed – all this while exhibiting and championing safe work and environmental compliance practices for the incumbent as well as co-workers.

CompensationResponsibilities
* Exhibit and maintain safe work and environmental compliance practices
* Inspect and lubricate plant machinery
* Maintain proper operations of plant equipment, collect measurements and samples as needed
* Operate front end loader, bobcat, dump truck, and other plant equipment to move materials as necessary
* Perform inspections and local operations of plant equipment including crushing system, raw storage, reclaim transport systems, raw feed and crushing systems, kiln system, clinker cooler, clinker storage and transport systems, finish mill, and cement storage systems; document status
* Perform cleanup duties in all areas of the facility
* Assist Tower Attendant when necessary to help remove plugs/build-ups
* Shoot coating and/or other build-ups in kiln via kiln gun
* Assist with kiln repairs when needed
* Handle and use high-pressure gas devices with Federal ATF, state, and county requirements which must be completed
* Assist in other plant operations as necessary
Education
High school diploma/GED
Requirements/Qualifications
* Must be able to successfully obtain ATF clearance, upon hire, to handle explosives.
* Familiarity with computers
* Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language
* Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility including systems to remove tower plugs
* Physical requirements: sit, stand, stoop, bend for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours), walk long distances, climb (ladders, stairs, and stockpiles), stoop, crawl under and into enclosed spaces, and lift/carry 70 lbs. up stairs
* Ability to walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground) and climb on equipment
* Climb stairs and ladders as high as 400 feet in elevation
* Must be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required
* Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings
* Must work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, and/or dusty conditions and near hot kiln process
* Will have exposure to all levels of noise that require use of hearing protection
* Exposure to cement, clay, limestone, and various chemicals
* Ability to work in surroundings that include heat, dust, vibration, heights, and confined spaces
Preferred:
* Working in a cement manufacturing facility
* Troubleshooting mechanical maintenance issues on plant equipment
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
