Job Description
As a Manager at GEL Vimercate laboratory, you will be responsible for the management and development of direct reports to enable superior functional service delivery. You will be responsible for managing and improving functional area performance by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build and execute service strategies aligned to corporate strategic objectives and Business needs. You will assist with improving individual capability by conducting performance appraisals with team members to create goals and development plans. You will monitor performance metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities. Other responsibilities include ensuring organizational compliance to company policies and regulations, as well as to departmental procedures, and providing organizational leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active participation in functional teams and projects, as well as mentoring other functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions.

Manage Team Member Performance

Manage Functional Area Service Delivery

17. Assist in the troubleshooting of escalated issues and provide coaching for resolution
18. Coordinate and communicate departmental policy and procedures
19. Monitor for adherence to departmental policy and procedures and provide feedback
20. Ensure team members are properly trained according to department compliance and work requirements
21. Manage Internal budgets
22. Manage, engage in, and promote continuous cost reduction and quality improvement efforts

25. Coordinate relations and relevant actions with laboratory service supports like (but not only) Facilities, Procurement, Logistica, IT, Finance, Security
26. Technical reference and coordination with laboratory service Suppliers
27. Collaborating with Global GEL network to sustain GEL initiatives, projects, WIGs.
28. Accountable to prepare and support Laboratory Audits.
29. Field capital and space requests from various engineering groups assessing worldwide inventory, location, and footprint
30. Define and implement elite processes for equipment maintenance to drive equipment uptime and efficiency
Provide Organizational Leadership to Build Functional Strategies, Processes, and Policy
31. Create and execute strategies according to requirements ( stakeholder, regulatory, corporate, departmental)

Education
50. BS in Electronics Engineering, Electronics Technology, Industrial Electronics, Computer Technology
51. preferred, or equivalent with appropriate experience
52. Good English knowledge (reading, writing and speaking)
Experience
53. Experience leading technical teams of at least 5 people.
54. Experience with Laboratory equipment to process both wafers and packaged parts
55. Experience with the capital process and approval flows
