Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary: The OFSL Office Assistant (Marketing Assistant) will assist with marketing efforts for the fraternity and sorority life office. This includes managing social media platforms, designing graphics and flyers, handling office communications, and supporting general office functions.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
* Experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, etc.)
* Strong attention to detail and creative skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Strong organizational skills and a customer-focused attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with event promotion and graphic design
* Knowledge of fraternity and sorority life and related culture
Key Responsibilities:
* Social Media Management: Assist in managing OFSL’s social media accounts by creating, scheduling, and posting content to increase engagement and visibility for fraternity and sorority life events.
* Data Evaluation: Coordinate data management regarding social media including, but not limited to, post engagement, data analysis, benchmarking peer departments on campus and other FSL departments, etc.
* Graphic Design & Flyers: Design promotional materials, including flyers and graphics for upcoming events and initiatives. Ensure all marketing materials align with the office’s brand guidelines.
* General Office Administration: Perform routine office tasks such as filing, organizing, and supporting staff with various administrative duties.
* Space Management: Maintain an inventory of office supplies and ensure that all necessary materials are stocked for daily operations and events in OFSL storage spaces in Dougherty (Suite 108) and Corr Hall.
* Organizing Mail & Packages: Sort and organize mail and packages received for the office. Communicate with chapters regarding deliveries, pickups, and other mailing tasks.
* Guest Interaction & Reception: Answer phones, greet guests, and provide excellent customer service when interacting with visitors in the office or over the phone.
* Community Engagement: Positively represent the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and all three FSL communities at both office events and campus partner programming. Responsibilities include attending events, engaging with chapter & community leadership, and promoting a positive image of Greek life on campus.
