In 2021, Demna designed Balenciaga’s 50th couture collection—the house’s first since its founder retired in 1968 – reintroducing a standard of cutting-edge elegance.We are currently seeking an RTW Production Director who will join our ready-to-wear team in Novara and supervise all engineering and production processes for Balenciaga RTW garments.Your opportunityAs RTW Production Director, you will collaborate with the Design, Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams, and be responsible for all processes related to product engineering, production planning, and control for the Ready To Wear category. You will guarantee the efficiency of these processes both in quantitative and qualitative terms for the garments produced, with a strong focus on costs.How you will contributeYou will oversee the production process for the RTW category, in particular:Managing the Atelier, Production Planning, Quality Control, Engineering, and Raw Materials Procurement teams, while liaising with external suppliersEvaluating the needs in terms of external suppliersMonitoring costs and quality standardsSupervising margin analysis and price negotiationMonitoring production schedules and adjusting them as neededSupervising the Pre-buy processCoordinating with the Development Team based in Paris to ensure timely product deliveryCooperating with the Quality Team to set product quality standards and implement effective quality control programsWho you areYou have the following requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Economics/Business AdministrationGood knowledge of English; French is a plusDeep knowledge of operations processes related to the Fashion Luxury IndustryPrevious experience (at least 3 years) in a similar role within Fashion LuxuryProactivity, dynamism, agility, and flexibilityWillingness to travel often (at least once per week) to Paris and other European countriesStrong communication and management skillsProblem-solving abilitiesExcellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracyWhy work with us?This is an exciting opportunity to join the Balenciaga adventure and its philosophy of quality and innovation.
