Accountant | Season 2025 | Villa Sant'Andrea, a Belmond Hotel

At Villa Sant'Andrea we are seeking trustworthy candidates who work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. The Accountant can expect to work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management.
Responsibilities:
* General cashier procedures, collect, count and prepare bank deposit on daily basis
* Prepare and maintain all cash float contracts and perform the audit of funds on monthly basis
* Review group account bills/invoices and relevant advance deposits
* Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
* Manage the guest ledger, city ledger and advance deposit on daily basis
* Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
* Perform bank and credit card reconciliation on daily basis
* Prepare and manage credit meetings with Front Office Manager, General Manager, Financial Controller on monthly basis
* Process and collect all guest refunds
* Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries related to the credit card company
* Perform B/S account reconciliations
* Assist in general financial management and analysis
Requirements:
* Previous experience in hospitality preferred
* Good command of English
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
* More education or experience may be preferred
* Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
* Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes
* Ethical behavior
