We are seeking aSenior Back-End Engineerwho is aPythonexpert, hands-on developer, and eager to tackle the challenges of scaling systems for hundreds of customers. You are interested in new technologies, love Python, and consider yourself a technical geek, but are hands-on. You jump on POCs to verify your ideas, connect with other team members and are smart in delivering results. You consider yourself highly analytical, great at solving problems and believe that others can learn from you.Responsibilities
● Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
● Participate in the direction of application architecture
● Concepting and delivering entirely new core features of the application, making the architecture behind those scalable and reusable
● Maintain code quality across the organization, bring in your experience to develop a large application
● Implement all user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
● Identify bottlenecks or bugs and devise solutions
● Work in an agile environment with cross-disciplinary teamsSkills
● Excellent and in-depth understanding of thesyntax of Python and its nuances, AWS and Git
● Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
● Experience with modern applications and test frameworks
● Familiarity with concepts of RESTful APIs, Mocking, and ORMs. GraphQL is a plus.
● A knack for writing clean, readable code
● Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
● Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
● Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (git)
● Familiarity with development-aiding tools ex. pip, virtualenv
● Familiarity with continuous integration
● Experience working with cloud automation would be a benefit
