Overview:
Alfasigma Consumer Healthcare, from its position of leadership on the Italian market, is committed to expand its geographical presence and product portfolio in the CHC area. The Consumer Healthcare R&D Senior Project Manager will serve as the leader for the management of project across multiple brands. This role will
Lead key and strategic cross-functional innovation projects to drive delivery of business goals.
Support the Head of CHC R&D lead with preparation of project governance, resourcing, project and portfolio assessments
Represent the project team at various committees by providing updates on key projects
The R&D Senior Project Manager will work closely with the Head of CHC R&D, the R&D Lead for the various brands, the Medical Expert, the Product Development team and additionally with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Sales.
The ideal candidate will possess strong collaborative and communication skills and can thrive in a fast-paced, growing organisation, and he/she will play a key role in the transformation of the Company into a global leader in the CHC area.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for project management of key CHC innovation projects
Accountable for building the project team (functions, people) upon project approval, partnering closely with cross-functional leadership.
Guide core teams to ensure timely decision making, effective stakeholder communication, adherence to applicable processes, contingency planning and execution.
Strong ability to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and align them with business goals and priorities.
Develop & maintain comprehensive timelines with cross-functional input.
Align & deliver all key project milestones.
Proactively identify issues and drive resolution, with limited guidance.
Assure comprehensive risk assessments and mitigation plans are in place for all projects.
Ensure significant changes to the aligned business case are communicated rapidly and efficiently to appropriate leadership
Develop, align and track project budget, rapidly communicating variance
Manages vendors (contracts, offers, invoices in line with internal policies and supported by relevant teams, e.G. Legal, Procurement, Cost Control, Finance, etc)
Manage the project portfolio and supports the Head of CHC R&D with data driven insights about resources and budget
Create and enable or improve innovation processes and ways of working
Embed PM best practices as part of overall business capability building.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Project Management in a Consumer Healthcare environment or related area (e.G., CPG, pharmaceutical, etc.).
Project Management Certification preferred
Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, and project management software
Proven delivery of effective project management across a range of innovation project types and complexities
Excellent management of projects portfolio with focus on resources, costs/budget, priorities
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and presentation skills, and good command of the English language.
Comfortable operating in situations characterized by complexity, ambiguity and high levels of uncertainty
Understanding of the key business processes and functions within an international healthcare company
Negotiation skills and ability to influence with or without authority at levels above and below own grade level
Proficiency in building trust with teams and stakeholders
Proficiency in driving resolution of team conflicts through skilled negotiation and diplomacy, elevating to accountable functional leaders as necessary.
