We are looking for a/an IT Systems Technician to join our FE_WIBU team in Italy.
Job Purpose:
Ensuring governance, guidelines, policies, and procedures are followed to enable the continued support of IT Systems within the Sulzer business organization. Ensuring that by using the tools and methods available to the position, the business is kept in an operational state regarding its IT Systems and other related processes it uses to carry out its business.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
* To ensure the service and systems are returned to an operational state as quickly as possible on a best-effort basis and following the processes defined for resolution and documentation within the defined SLA;
* Responsible for all Tier 2 Support Functions including installation and maintenance of all Company software. Responsible for repair and configuration of client hardware including client peripherals;
* Support of the core build and O.S. Configuration including Windows Office Suite of software;
* Support for all client networking configuration and connectivity;
* Support for configuration of fixed and mobile (Cellular) Telephone Systems;
* Hardware support for platforms hosting business applications within the responsible locations;
* Familiar with the environmental aspects and impacts of the activities and processes involved in the role and the procedures, practices, and measures to manage the impact;
* Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices, and measures in place to mitigate the risks;
* Participate in and actively support Company initiatives;
* All other duties as relevant to the post.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Qualifications and Experience:
* IT diploma/degree;
* Relevant experience in an IT environment;
* 2-3 years of relevant experience with Microsoft systems including desktop products;
* An understanding of networking/computer hardware and how these relate to IT architecture and corporate enterprise environment;
* Flexibility and ability to adapt to change;
* Interpersonal skills;
* Planning and organization skills;
* Project Management and Service Management skills;
* Ability to work in a team;
* Good knowledge of the English language, written and spoken.
Accountability:
* Timely completion of service incidents, requests, problems, and/or escalations related to Service Operations to agreed SLA's, OLA's and best effort depending on the priority of the call.
Measured by:
* Internal Service Level Agreements;
* Internal Key performance indicators and customer satisfaction.
Special Duties:
* Special site requirement: these are defined as a System, Service, Hardware, Software, or Duty carried out by IT technicians within their responsibilities that is only provisioned from the site they are working at or have responsibility for.
Availability to travel:
* Availability to travel to each of the Italian locations: Casalecchio di Reno, Milano, and Vimodrone.
