Graduate Program: Field Service Representative

You will work in a multinational environment to develop a detailed understanding of our products, services, projects, customers and culture.
We will provide a structured program during which you will attend a series of online and face to face training sessions which will focus on developing your interpersonal and leadership skills. We will combine this with relevant technical training and provide you with a coach, mentor and assignment manager to provide a truly developmental experience. Our Leadership in Practice sessions will provide you with the opportunity to learn from the successes and learning experiences of our European executives and senior business leaders.

As a Field Service Engineer or Field Service Representative (FSR) you will be responsible for providing on-site technical customer service. This position will include chemistry tests, chemical feed and control equipment maintenance, chemical inventory management, technical recommendations, and written service reports. This is a customer facing position.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
5. Ensure compliance with all aspects of safety on the job – including the operation and maintenance of an assigned company vehicle – and comply with all Veolia Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and Italian laws
6. Install and service chemical feed and water treatment and chemical feed equipment at designated locations
7. Act as technical consultant and liaison with customer management and technical counterparts
8. Perform water analysis and/or collect samples for preparation, labelling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysis
9. Work with PLC controls, understands water process treatment design, and repairs pumps, instruments and control panels
10. Conduct preventive maintenance and calibrates feed pumps, controllers, feed rate charts and maintain log sheets
11. Maintain inventory of spare parts (lube oil, tubing, and piping), and adequate supply of reagents, sample containers, and shipment containers necessary for routine as well as special sampling and analysis
12. Travel to customer sites and perform preventive maintenance and related services
13. Troubleshoot and repairs pumps, instruments and control panels. Calibrate feed pumps, controllers, feed rate charts and maintain log sheets. Conduct preventative maintenance on chemical feed pumps, controllers and instrumentation.
14. Work closely with Sales to provide insight into new instrument and new service opportunities as well as upsell service and consumables at existing customer sites based on need
15. Work frequently in a heavy industrial environment requiring use of Personal Safety Equipment and exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and other similar irritants typical of those found in refinery, chemical plants, power plants, etc…
16. Optimise system performance
17. Drives Value Generation Plan on assigned customer
18. Responsible for efficient week planning, service optimization & time spend vs contract
This position is based in Sicily
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar
19. Possession of driving licence required (licence B)
20. IT Proficiency
21. Fluent in English & Italian
22. Ability and willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory, at times requiring overnight stay, as required
