The Operations Manager - Italy E&C Business, working on multiple sites, is critical to implement the right processes and best practices across the Organization at all its levels, including formulating strategy, improving performance and securing compliance, efficiency and profitability during the course of business. This role will supervise Engineering, Project Management and Manufacturing Departments, that operates in the design and manufacture of pressure equipment (heat exchangers, reactors, towers, etc.) for the Refining, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas industries.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be...
1. Provide a vision, direction and purpose for your direct reports and their teams, serving as an authentic leader, coach, and advisor. Make key decisions on budget allocation and resource management, creating a followership.
2. Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives to increase sales, generate leads, identify market opportunities and drive efficiencies in your teams.
3. Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures and ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
4. Formulate strategic and operational objectives, in accordance with organizational guidelines, preparing and implementing the Business Plan in long-term planning.
5. Define and monitor KPIs, prepare reports and ensure compliance with safety, quality and legal requirements.
6. Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability, manage budgets and forecasts.
7. Foster development and career progression within your teams, ensuring colleagues have the necessary skills and motivation, leading, coaching and developing the team through learning and continuous feedback.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless coordination, promoting communication across different departments.
9. Be a role model of Company's purpose, promise and values.
10. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements & Preferred Qualifications will be...
1. Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering or related field.
2. Proven work experience (>10 years) as Operations Manager or similar role in metalworking or manufacturing environment.
3. Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
4. Familiarity with business and financial principles.
5. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
6. Excellent knowledge of English.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Knowledge of IT tools.
9. Leadership ability and team building skills.
10. Outstanding organisational skills.
