THE ROLEWe're seeking a highly skilled Document Controller with a strong emphasis on SharePoint administration. This role will also encompass some duties as a document controller and data protection clerk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising our SharePoint environment, ensuring efficient data management, and maintaining compliance with data protection regulations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSharePoint AdministrationManage and optimise the SharePoint environment to ensure efficient data management and collaboration across the organisationAnalyse business requirements, design SharePoint solutions, and provide ongoing support and maintenanceCollaborate with IT operations and IT Security to align implementation with Group IT strategy, policies, and architectureManage a large volume of documentation contained in multiple SharePoint sitesProvide solutions for document management needs and ensure a highly customer-centric approach.Document Controller DutiesEnsure that all day-to-day operational activities related to document management are carried out in a timely and reliable mannerRespond to and action helpdesk issues related to document managementMaintain and update documentation based on business requirements and compliance needsInterface with business stakeholders to fulfil various data requests and ensure the smooth running of the company's Information Technology department.Data Protection Clerk DutiesAdvise on appropriate data protection measures for any new types of dataEnsure compliance with data protection regulations, including GDPRDevelop and maintain data access guidelines and data classification labelsIdentify all systems that process personal data and ensure processes and procedures are in place to satisfy Subject Access Request (SAR) requirementsMaintain an asset management process and ensure all IT assets are identified, registered, and physically protected from threats.SKILLS COMPETENCIESTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:Time management prioritisation skills - things can get a little hectic, so the ability to effectively manage yourself and your workload is critical.Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages) - you must be able to organise your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling. You will be expected to together well-written, grammatically correct emails and other communications.
