Legal Counsel - Intellectual Property & Commercial Litigation
The candidate will join the Global Legal Affairs and General Affairs Department, Intellectual Property & Commercial Litigation.
In this role, you will play a vital part in the company's intellectual property (IP) and commercial dispute resolution initiatives, working on a diverse range of engaging and challenging projects.
Responsibilities:
• Provide legal opinions on contentious and noncontentious IP matters (whether patent, trademark, copyright, or trade secret matters).
• Advise on legal issues related to unfair commercial practices, including advertising law and consumer protection.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts involving IP rights, information and communication technology (ICT), and artificial intelligence (AI).
• Provide legal opinions on contentious and pre-contentious contractual matters.
• Manage in-court and out-of-court commercial disputes, collaborating effectively with outside counsel when necessary.
• Draft and negotiate comprehensive settlement agreements to resolve disputes in a cost-effective manner.
• Contribute to the creation of legal guidelines and procedures and to the training of internal departments on IP-related matters.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Law.
• 2-4 years of experience in IP matters and/or commercial litigation, preferably gained within an international law firm with a strong life sciences practice or the legal department of a pharmaceutical company.
• Strong understanding of the legal landscape surrounding AI is highly desirable.
• Fluency in both spoken and written Italian and English is essential.
• Outstanding communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
• Excellent negotiations skills and legal knowledge.
Master's degree in Law; 2 years of experience in IP matters and/or commercial litigation; fluency in English
