The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-performance digital circuits, data acquisition systems, and signal processing units for CubeSats, SmallSats, and spacecraft payloads. This role focuses on digital and mixed-signal electronics, excluding RF design.Main tasks and responsibilities:Design and develop digital and mixed-signal electronic circuits and PCBs for spaceborne Data Link Systems and Radars.Develop high-speed data acquisition and processing systems, including ADCs, DACs, and FPGA-based processing units.Design and integrate high-speed serial interfaces (e.g., LVDS, SPI, SpaceWire, JESD204, PCIe) for data communication.Implement FPGA-based signal processing architectures using VHDL/Verilog and optimize for power and performance.Work on power management and low-noise mixed-signal design to ensure signal integrity and system reliability.Develop radiation-tolerant electronics for space environments, considering TID, SEE, and latch-up mitigation.Perform functional, thermal, and radiation testing of mixed-signal electronics.Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure compatibility and integration of electronic systems.Troubleshoot and optimize digital and analog front-end circuits for data link and radar signal processing.Support design reviews, documentation, and manufacturing coordination for space-qualified electronics.Required QualificationsBachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Experience in mixed-signal digital circuit design for high-speed data acquisition and signal processing.Proficiency in PCB design and layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, Cadence Allegro).Strong knowledge of FPGAs (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Microsemi) and HDL programming (VHDL, Verilog).Experience with high-speed digital design techniques, including signal integrity, power integrity, and jitter reduction.Familiarity with radiation effects on electronics (TID, SEE, SEU) and mitigation strategies.Hands-on experience in debugging, testing, and validation of electronic systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and test benches.Understanding of ECSS, NASA, and MIL-STD standards for space electronics.Preferred QualificationsExperience designing digital signal processing (DSP) systems for radar and data links.Knowledge of low-noise analog front-end design for mixed-signal systems.Experience with radiation-tolerant microcontrollers and SoCs for space applications.Familiarity with high-reliability PCB manufacturing for spaceflight hardware.Hands-on experience with environmental testing (thermal vacuum, vibration, radiation testing).What We OfferOpportunity to work on cutting-edge space-based Data Link Systems and Radar payloads.A dynamic and innovative work environment.Competitive salary and benefits package.Hands-on experience with real spaceflight hardware and testing.If you are passionate about designing high-performance electronics for space applications, we encourage you to apply and contribute to the next generation of small satellite data link and radar systems.
