Location: near Sugar Hill, GA
Territory: Western/Southwestern U.S. & Mexico
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 (DOE) + Profit-Sharing Bonus + Benefits

Description
Our client, a global leader in precision technology and optical communications components, is seeking an Account Manager near Sugar Hill, GA to drive sales for fiber optic products across 20-30 direct accounts in the Western and Southwestern U.S. and Mexico. This role involves regular customer visits, collaboration with distributors, and engagement with design engineers, purchasing managers, and technical stakeholders to expand market share in a niche, high-growth industry. The ideal candidate has an engineering background or technical sales experience, strong relationship-building skills, and a willingness to travel. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, supportive U.S. team with the backing of an international industry leader in an emerging market with limited competition.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute sales plans for designated accounts
2. Manage core customer relationships and oversee distributor partnerships
3. Conduct quarterly business reviews to track sales performance
4. Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts and reports
5. Lead product training sessions for customers and distributors
6. Negotiate pricing and contracts to maintain profitability
7. Work closely with Japan-based teams on technical and business matters
8. Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution
Qualifications
1. 2-15 years of technical sales experience required
2. Fiber optics, electronic equipment/components, or semiconductors experience required
3. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to discuss engineering concepts required
4. Willingness to regularly travel to CA, TX and Mexico (~1 week/month) required
5. Computer proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Word) required
6. Valid driver’s license and valid passport required
