We are looking for a Sr. Buyer (Subcontracting Manager) to join their Procurement Department. Your Impact: As a Senior Buyer/Subcontract Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving procurement excellence and ensuring the success of our projects. Your impact will be felt through: Key Responsibilities: Strategic Procurement Leadership: You will lead the preparation and implementation of effective procurement strategies that align with project goals, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. Vendor Optimization: By developing a comprehensive vendor list and managing the RFQ process, you will identify the most qualified vendors and drive competitive sourcing to maximize value for the business. Negotiation & Selection: You will lead negotiations to secure the best possible terms with selected vendors, ensuring their alignment with project requirements and long-term value. Contract Management: You will oversee the preparation and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders, ensuring they are fully compliant with procurement governance and company standards. Performance Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Your ongoing monitoring of vendor performance and addressing claims or change orders will ensure smooth project delivery, accurate invoicing, and strong vendor relationships. Market Insight & Vendor Relationship Building: You will maintain market awareness, keeping track of trends, risks, and emerging opportunities. By cultivating long-term, performance-driven relationships with vendors, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement and competitive advantage. Client-Centric Service Delivery: By understanding the specific needs of the client and the project, you will deliver an agile, results-driven service that exceeds expectations and ensures seamless execution. Value Creation & Continuous Improvement: You will work to continuously improve procurement processes, focusing on achieving the best quality, cost, and delivery outcomes to drive the overall success of the project. Required Skills and Experience: Education: Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma in a related field. Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in supply management or subcontract management, particularly within the EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management) industry. Procurement & Subcontracting Expertise: Proven experience in procurement activities, including vendor relationship management, negotiations, and preparation of subcontracts/purchase orders. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement laws, commercial regulations, and technical business processes, particularly related to project delivery in the construction and EPCM sectors. Construction Subcontracting Knowledge: A solid grasp of subcontracting processes and practices in the construction industry. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write and review contractual documents and communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors. Languages: Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken. Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel for short-term and long-term assignments as required. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with management, clients, and vendors at all levels.
