Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Construction Manager to oversee the construction of complex building projects, including residential, office, hotel, retail, and logistics/industrial developments. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of experience in managing both brownfield and greenfield projects, with a proven track record in managing the design, tender, and construction phases. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Oversight:
- Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Design and Tender Management:
- Oversee the design phase, ensuring that all designs meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and selection of contractors.
3. Construction Management:
- Supervise the construction phase, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
4. Budget and Schedule Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and that financial targets are met.
- Create and maintain project schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the construction process.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
7. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience in project construction management, with a focus on complex building projects (residential, office, hotel, retail, logistics, and industrial).
- Proven experience managing both brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract management, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
