Job Responsibilities
* Facilities forecasting, planning, budgeting, installation & management of canteen & general welfare, drying rooms, storage, etc., offices & parking for construction staff.
* Chair weekly logistics meetings as part of general construction management of the project. Contribute to 3-week-look-ahead meetings & keep aware of site progress & planning.
* Produce a weekly logistics communication tool (drawing or on interactive centralized digital platform) & communicate to the site team.
* Manage onsite space including work areas, laydown areas, storage, parking areas, and secure spaces.
* Allocate subcontractor space & facilities.
* Manage & maintain safe vehicular traffic and pedestrian walkways on site.
* Manage external traffic with the client to comply with local authority permits including staggering contractor arrival times.
* Maintain secure site & associated facilities including fencing and access systems like turnstiles.
* Management of deliveries and pick-ups including arrivals, staging & dock management with subcontractors, client’s subcontractors, & any local third party.
* Ongoing management of logistics safety, waste management, housekeeping & compliance.
* Maintain and manage client logistics interface.
* Welfare facilities management and delivery including canteen facilities and cleaning.
* Report weekly to the project leadership on progress, issues, and recommendations.
* Engage & support project management team in the proactive management of subcontractors in conjunction with Contract Administration Services.
Qualifications
* Engineering, construction or facilities management qualification with 5 years site experience and 2 years in construction logistics management role.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across the spectrum of the construction project stakeholders from client management to subcontractors.
