Employees of Tennant Company work with a spirit of Stewardship, striving to leave things in better condition than when we found them.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Global Product Manager, Tools will support sales growth through marketing efforts, managing current solutions developing new solutions, implementing pricing strategies, portfolio lifecycle management, and sales support. This role will be responsible for creating the Tools product strategy and multigenerational product plan. The Global Product Manager will develop a deep understanding of the market including applications, competitors, and customer needs. He/she will utilize that market knowledge to plot a strategy, identify growth opportunities, and become the champion for their product lines. The Global Product Manager will be accountable for achieving annual revenue, growth, and profit targets.Key responsibilities elements of the role include:Deep understanding of market dynamics including competition, trends, new technologies pricing to inform appropriate decision making for the product line.Ability to analyze large sets of data and interpret into actionable information that will guide portfolio management of current solutions as well as development of new offerings.Work closely with customers and sales leaders to develop and articulate Tools product line value propositions.Partner with sales service leadership, sales, field admin, engineering, and finance in the new product development process.Develop and implement growth strategies based on market needs to increase market share profitability of the product line.Drive portfolio lifecycle management with a strong emphasis on product line simplification.Collaborate with marketing operations to update and develop new collateral tools linked to product launches and/or updates.Assist in product training materials and delivery leveraging the product, sales, and communication teams.Understand competitive pricing programs as well as those within adjacent industries.Develop a pricing strategy on new solutions as well as manage annual price adjustments to grow portfolio revenue.Support supply chain, sourcing and operations manage and improve product quality.Required SkillsSelf-starter, comfortable dealing with abstract or ambiguous problems independently.Strong communication skills - Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate effectively with a wide array of functions.Able to develop and communicate strategy and a vision in a compelling manner, influencing without direct authority.Experience managing change.High level of business acumen and ability to spot market and business trends, pattern recognition, demonstrated history of delivering PL results.Cross-functional leadership – ability to lead complex projects involving global stakeholders across multiple functions and regions.Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.Data analysis – ability to analyze data and recommend action based on the information.Good mechanical aptitudes to communicate with operations and engineering.Proficient in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint, experience working in SAP desired.Required ExperienceFluent in English, any additional language is a plus.Bachelor's degree in business/marketing is desired, Marketing/Business/MBA is preferred.3 - 5 years of professional work experience, preferably with an emphasis in product management.Experience working with the cleaning industry.Global business experience collaborating with international teams.Willingness to travel domestically internationally – up to 20% of the time.Successful track record for problem solving, idea generation and program execution.
