This role contributes to RD projects and business-oriented solutions, promoting best practices and continuous improvement in analytical methods, particularly in recycling sustainability projects.ResponsibilitiesContribute to achieving GoalZERO performance for occupational safety, process safety, and environmental aspects; comply with corporate safety standards, policies, and local regulations.Support and operate within assigned technical areas according to Labs management inputs.Train and develop technicians and operators in analytical characterization, analytics, and problem-solving for RD, manufacturing, and business customers.Evaluate and introduce modern experimental methods.Issue and implement new methods, procedures, and techniques in cooperation with RD labs and Tech Centers.Improve lab efficiency by updating existing methods and techniques for new product characterization.Guide, instruct, and develop co-workers in accordance with Labs Management.Share necessary instructions and knowledge for the implementation of analytical techniques.Provide high-level reporting of technical results for internal and external audiences.Issue technical reports and submit contributions to conferences, meetings, or scientific literature. Act as backup for QN Special Projects, managing Quality Notifications and related investigations from external customers.Min. QualificationsEducation: University Degree in a Scientific area (Physics, Chemistry, Engineering); PhD is a plus.Work Experience: More than 10 years of suitable experience in applied polymer science, including robust knowledge of analytical techniques.Languages:Fluent in English, both written and spoken.Any other language used in the company is preferable (Italian, French, German, etc.).Preferred QualificationsTechnical Skills:Excellent technical background in polymer chemistry physics.Good knowledge of laboratory instruments and polymers structure characterization techniques.Scientific and technical skills on polymer processing, catalysts, and polyolefin materials.Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and maintain good relationships across departments.Understanding of internal and external customer needs and proposing appropriate analytical paths.Effective internal communication and translation of findings into applications.Project management culture, change management skills, teamwork, and problem-solving approach.Knowledge of LIMS systems for lab data management and traceability, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, and SAP.In-depth knowledge of statistical principles, particularly MSA principles and process control principles (SPC).
