Lead Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/d)
We Elevate... Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be part of our Milan Software Development Hub, an agile team that develops modern software tools to help shape the next-generation elevator’s software to meet high quality and safety standards for Schindler’s products.
Join our team and leverage your C++ expertise to work on the next-generation elevator software. You will join as the team leader and technical product owner of one of our Scrum team. In this role you'll develop cutting-edge software and witness your impact first-hand in our lab simulators and test installations by proactively collaborate and lead an agile development team.
Your new challenges will include:
* Writing high quality embedded C++ software in the context of a distributed agile team. You will leverage modern programming standards and tools to develop the new generation of Schindler’s products;
* As a technical product owner, manage release schedules and content. Being responsive to component managers and other stakeholders on the development of the software product;
* Driving our software architecture choices with clean and practical solutions. You will contribute to design decision with innovative ideas together with team;
* As a technical lead, mentoring and supporting the team on development activities, helping people stay motivated and focused by prioritizing tasks according to stakeholder’s needs;
* In this position you can expect to spend roughly 25% of your time developing new features and bug fixing; you will act as a team leader and technical product owner the rest of the time.

* Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electronics and/or, equivalent;
* Extensive experience with developing and maintaining embedded software solutions in C++, C, unit testing, and scripting by applying state-of-the-art software engineering practices;
* Experience as a technical product owner;
* Technical leadership skills;
* Experience user of software development tools such as (Linux, git and JIRA, Agile development using Scrum/Kanban, preferably knowledge of design and analysis of real-time systems);
* Proficient level of English is required. Italian and German are a plus.
